Great Days of Service is a cooperative effort among churches, businesses, service organizations and community volunteers. Every year since 1996, volunteers from our community and partner churches have worked side by side to help their neighbors. Civic organizations and businesses in our community support this effort both financially and by supplying volunteer workers.
Projects include Sherman Goes Green,
Home Improvement, Habitat for Humanity, Nursing Home
Visitation, Care Packages, Reading
Program, Public Servant Meal, Food
Drive, Baby Blankets and Gowns, Friends
of Hope Camp, and
Boot Camp. Project descriptions, photos, and participating organizations are
listed on this Web site.
We need YOU to commit your time
and talents to help make the projects
listed on this site a success! The
partner churches, municipalities,
businesses and foundation grants provide
funding for Great Days of Service. If
you know anyone who can support these
projects, please call 903-893-6514.

Habitat
for Humanity:
Beginning April 19, Habitat for Humanity
will be working on a house in
conjunction with Great Days of Service.
We need people to help on Wednesdays and
Saturdays. You can sign up to work one
time or every week! The group needs
workers and those who can get together
and fix a picnic lunch for 20 as well as
someone who enjoys watching and can be a
site host - giving a devotional or
prayer at the beginning, signing
volunteers in and handing out name tags.
Be a part of this exciting event. We
need you to sign up for the early dates
to begin with! Click on Habitat
for Humanity to go to their site
for more information.
